- President of chairmen committee: Noboru Masuko, Vice-president of chairmen committee: Ryuichi Shimizu
- A consensus was built to collect the wisdom of all 63 University-Industry Cooperative Research Committees for early establishment of earthquake disaster restoration support system
End of May, 2011
- Based on the proposals, preparations were made to dispatch a team to the disaster site (selection of members, preparation of an easy-to-understand radiation pamphlet)
- A comment from the Nuclear Safety Division (MEXT) suggesting that “the proposals should be regarded as the instructions from those concerned with Fukushima Prefecture Nuclear Emergency Response Headquarters”

- The 2nd “Conference for the establishment of University-Industry Cooperative Research Committees to cope with the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake disaster” was held
- A report on “Current status and challenges in the wake of Fukushima nuclear power station accident” was reported by Shunichi Yamashita
- A proposal that two teams (measurement team that conducts environment monitoring and explanation team that explains the results thereof) be sent simultaneously to Fukushima Prefecture
- Negotiations with Fukushima Prefecture started

- JEin (a nonprofit organization) published a pamphlet “How fearful is the radiation? Examination of biological effects of low dose radiation”
- Dialogue with above mentioned citizens started based on the discussions in “Low dose radiation committee” (set up immediately after the disaster)
- JSPS and Kyoto team converged
July, 2011
- The measurement team and explanation team entered into Fukushima Prefecture, starting with Iwaki City.
September, 2011
- Similar measurement and explanation meeting was held in Shirakawa City
October, 2012
- A study to launch a new committee in the Leading Research Committee started
